I have mentioned in a couple of posts this year a forthcoming book on Tolkien. It has now been released by GlossaHouse for their new Fiction and Fantasy series.
This is really a dream fulfillment for me, as I have wanted to write a book about Tolkien for many years now, and I was surprised to find that I had the opportunity to do so at this point in my life. Since it is specifically on The Hobbit, it is most likely the shortest book I will ever write, but it is dense with information and references. (The volume on The Lord of the Rings will be longer than my dissertation.) I hope that you will find it to be a helpful commentary on The Hobbit and that it might illuminate Tolkien’s Christian faith and how it shaped his work.
It is available on Amazon or from GlossaHouse’s website, where it is currently discounted.
For my first book, see here.
I'll check them both out. Thanks for recommending and your frequent posting!!
I'm sorry I give next to no feedback because I read very little of your posts when they first come out, but I store them all in an email folder to consult when it comes in handy for different topics for sermon writing.
